Story
The panther is a story of both great darkness and light. The panther experiences great strife early in its life, typically in the form of loss, but over time becomes stronger because of it. There are two different interpretations of the story’s end — in one, the panther becomes a symbol of strength for all those around it; in the other, that strength is perceived as coming through aggression and darkness.
Meaning
When a starseer first sees the Panther in a reading, it typically has very volatile results. The most common is an omen of grand death, but it has to be only slightly uncovered by clouds — typically if there are enough clouds in the sky for the Panther’s reading to come to fruition, it cannot be seen at all from the darkness in the sky.
Alternate Meaning
When the Panther is at its brightest in a completely clear sky, it is a symbol of strength and wisdom born of the darknesses of life — a complete contrast to its usual reading, and typically signifies a great moment of strength and victory is soon coming.
