- A lookout at the lens treats lightly obscured as clear, and heavily obscured as lightly obscured, on the Spotting Obstacles table (see Obstacles).
- While a lookout is at the lens, the pilot has advantage on piloting checks to avoid spotted obstacles, because the course is called early.
