A constellation read by starseers of Scerenciya, The Sparkling Jewel.

Appearance

A large lone tower reaching the sky, built upon pillars of salt and pillars of sand atop a storming mountain.

Story

There was once a man who ruled the world. This powerful king would give the word and seas and oceans would rise and fall to his command. As he ruled the world and rolled the dice there was fear in his enemies’ eyes, for they knew he was a gambling man and luck was always in his favor. People loved the king for bringing down the previous king, and crowds would cheer and sing in his name. The king was stubborn though — he refused to see past his own world, and soon he was locked out of his own doors. Bells rang in the distance signifying raiders as cavalry from foreign lands came and burned the kingdom to the ground. No one was there to protect them, as the missionaries were in another land taking the world for the king. Now the king walks through empty streets thinking about his kingdom. There was never an honest word, but that was when he ruled the world.

Meanings

  • Alone: the Tower signifies ruin. Things that currently stand may yet fall. Built upon a shaky foundation, all it takes for the tower to fall is a simple lightning bolt or anything else to disturb the balance and topple it.
  • The Dragon: a foreboding omen — the tower and The Dragon together is never good. Rather than a singular area or person, the ruin is widespread and disastrous for the current future.
  • The Crown: the crown and the tower represent the imminent fall of a structure. Socially, things are collapsing and are to meet their doom. Those who overcome this challenge are said to build relationships much stronger than before.
  • The Chalice: though the tower forebodes a negative omen, paired with The Chalice it gives a sense of either collapse-and-rebuild-stronger, or of the current foundations being reinforced and made strong. This pairing is usually known as “The Castle.”
